Responsibilities:

Manages a work group consisting of financial industry professionals, such as Accountants, Financial Analysts, Finance Supervisors, and Accounting Clerks

Ensures that all reports and disclosures comply with applicable governmental regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies

Assists in the direction and administration of the organization's financial operations

May manage the preparation and review of budgets, and various other financial operating reports

Local Unit Analyst / Accountant
Finance and Record Department, Asia North Area, Guam
Responsibilities:
-
Provide onsite training to priesthood leaders in Guam and Micronesia by reviewing financial and membership records and recommending corrective actions.

Analyze audit results of financial and membership records, assist in the resolution of audit findings.
-
Ensure accurate maintenance of financial and membership records while providing relevant information to Church headquarters and the Area Presidency.

Assess unit situations, propose solutions, and implement appropriate actions to address identified issues.

Support priesthood leaders in preparing and submitting applications related to Church organizations..

Communicate with local banks for payment-related matters.

Record financial transactions accurately by creating journal entries in the financial system.

Qualifications:

Area Planning Manager
Area Planning Department, Asia North Area
Responsibilities:

Prepares and reviews presentations for General Authorities and Church committees
-
Supports the Area Presidency in identifying area priorities, preparing for needs, opportunities, and improvements to fulfill the ecclesiastical vision and priorities
-
Provides quality information in a timely manner to assist management and governing councils in their decisionmaking

Conducts research or partners with the Correlation Department to perform needed research related to projects and requests

Provides high-level analysis and justified recommendations on issues of high sensitivity

Provides critical review of annual plans and projects, ensuring compliance to policies, processes, and guidelines

Coordinates the development of the Area Functional Plan (AFP) under the direction of the Director for Temporal Affairs and Area Presidency, in collaboration with departments, and provides feedback to ensure plans are strong strategic documents focused on area priorities

Language Supervisor/Coordinator (Guam)
Asia North Area
Responsibilities:

Recruit translators and interpreters from the ranks of local, active Church members and train them in the Church translation process
-
Assigns and monitors all translation work for Micronesian languages by matching project complexity with the ability and workload of individual translators, and by providing direction to see that projects are completed in a timely manner

Oversees translation, review, and proofread of all materials to be translated by assigning work among translators and by personally completing various translation projects, as appropriate
-
Determines the acceptability of translation, interpretation, and recording completed by translators by reviewing, proofreading, evaluating, and correcting the work
-
Maycoordinateinterpretation ofGeneral Conference sessions, seminars, interviews, phone calls, etc. by listening in one language, while simultaneously rendering what has been said into another language

Controls the quality and acceptability of non-English Church publications by proofreading text and reviewing typesetting, layout, and artwork
